For much of my life, I’ve been drawn to work rooted in storytelling, creativity, and connection.  Over the years, I’ve worn many different hats — artist, educator, researcher, community organizer, somatic practitioner, and now designer. 

Looking back, each chapter feels like part of a larger thread that has slowly led me here.  More than anything, I'm someone who is drawn to creating, learning and building community.  Looking back, each of those experiences feels like a thread that has been leading me here.

Building  a Life that felt aligned

Like many people, especially mothers and caregivers, I’ve also spent years navigating the very real question of how to build a life that feels both meaningful and sustainable — work that allows space for creativity, purpose, family, and presence.

That journey has shaped the way I approach both business and design.

Over time, design began to feel like a natural extension of everything I had already been doing.

Over time, web design began to feel like a natural extension of the work I was already drawn to — storytelling, visual expression, emotional resonance, and creating spaces where people feel connected and welcomed.  That’s ultimately what led me to create Aki Design Studio.

I approach design as a collaborative and thoughtful process rooted in clarity, connection, and intentional visual flow.  Rather than creating websites that feel overly polished or trend-driven, I aim to create spaces that feel grounded, authentic and reflective of the people behind them.

I especially love supporting wellness practitioners, creatives, nonprofits, and community-centered businesses who want their websites to feel authentic, spacious, and aligned with the heart of their work.
